Dennis McBride, Director of the Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas asked the Friends in autumn 2017 to help with museum events moving forward. YOU are needed – please volunteer for an event!
The Friends provide interviewers for one-hour time slots randomly distributed through 2017. Volunteers will approach individual visitors for a three-minute survey. A script of questions will be supplied. The data collected will help the museum better target its audience.
We are seeking two volunteers per time slot. To volunteer for the Visitor Survey project, chose a date and time and complete this form:
At the drop of a hat, you can assist the museum by transcribing index cards from the museum library’s card catalog. Use your smart phone or a home computer with Internet service. Do it for a few minutes, or longer if you like. Every bit helps. To get started, watch this video, or go directly to www.nsmlv.org/omeka:
— volunteers to staff the front desk in museum’s lobby (even for a two-hour span)
— volunteers to help run the museum’s classroom for walk-in families and school groups
If you would like to volunteer at the front desk or in the education department, please contact the Friends at email@example.com.
