Volunteer at the museum based on your interests and skills.

  • Event Volunteer – Event volunteers check in guests, assist with behind-the-scenes tours, serve refreshments, etc.
  • Traveling Trunk Volunteer – Inventory and refresh supplies so the trunks are ready to travel to another school.
  • Visitor Survey Volunteer – Ask visitors to answer a few questions as they exit the Museum and record their answers.
  • Education Room Volunteers – assist with school groups visiting the Museum, give gallery tours, and more.
  • Museum Volunteer Trainer – lead volunteer orientation classes at the Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas.
  • Transcription from Home– Transcribe index cards from the museum library’s card catalog with your home computer or smartphone.
